The Yoruba movie industry has been thrown into mourning again as actress Joke Jigan announced the death of her ‘sister,’ Lizzy.
In a social media post on Tuesday, September 3, Jigan shared the sad news along with photos of herself and the deceased.
In her caption, Joke questioned why death seemed to be everywhere as she contemplated taking a break from social media.
“Omoh! Be like na to log off all social media for now o because what in the name of death is going on??!! Rest in peace Lizzy, my darling sis.”
Joke Jigan’s post announcing Lizzy’s death coincided with a viral report about veteran actress Peju Ogunmola losing her only child.
It was reported that Peju, the daughter of late veteran actor Kola Ogunmola, lost her only child, Oluwasinaayomi, on Tuesday, September 2.
The sad report stirred reactions from popular Yoruba movie stars including Odunlade Adekola and Femi Adebayo.
