Premier League club Fulham are reportedly considering a move to sign 26-year-old winger Philip Otele from Swiss side FC Basel.
The Nigerian player’s expected transfer fee is around 15 million pounds, which is notably lower than what Fulham would have had to pay for Nelson or Kevin.
Initially, the club had shown interest in signing Reiss Nelson from Arsenal before turning their attention to Kevin from Shakhtar.
However, negotiations with Shakhtar have reportedly stalled this week as the Ukrainian club continues to insist on a 43 million pound fee for Kevin, prompting Fulham to consider more budget-friendly options like Otele.
Otele joined Basel in January following a loan spell from Al-Wahda in the UAE, with the Swiss club subsequently purchasing his contract for three million euros.
Currently, Transfermarkt values the winger at four million euros, and his contract with Basel is set to run until June 30, 2028.
