Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, generated excitement among his fanbase after he announced his upcoming single Kelebu, set to be released this Friday, August 1, 2025.
To make it more exciting, Rema launched a $10,000 (N12 million) dance challenge for fans across the globe.
In a bid to promote his new project, the Calm Down hitmaker called on fans to create a dance video for Kelebu.
The winner will walk away with a grand prize of $10,000, an incentive that caused a buzz online.
To participate in the challenge, fans should share videos using the hashtag #KELEBUChallenge and tag Rema in their posts.
Rema, however, added that the dance should be easy enough for anyone to learn, and creative enough to go viral.
Mr Ibu named as favourite to Rema’s challenge
Following Rema’s announcement, a clip of the late Nollywood actor John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu, emerged on social media.
The video, which has quickly gone viral, has seen netizens tagging Rema, as they declared Mr Ibu as the winner.
Others urged Rema to send the prize to the late actor’s family.
