The Super Falcons are flying very high as they lead Zambia 3-0 by the interval of this 2024 WAFCON quarterfinal in Casablanca.
The quality and experience of the nine-time African champions have shone through in the first 45 minutes of this contest.
Osinachi Ohale put the Super Falcons as early as the second minute, when she headed home a free kick taken by Esther Okoronkwo.
They doubled their lead on 33 minutes, when Okoronkwo controlled a long ball by captain Rasheedat Ajibade before she fired home.
Ihezuo made it 3-0 on the dot of half time when she fought her way to goal on the back of a long ball before she netted her third goal of the tournament.
The Mexico-based striker has justified her starting this match ahead of six-time African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala.
The Super Falcons defence have also done well to so far to shut out the fearsome Zambian strike force of Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundanji after 45 minutes of action.
Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie did not make a save to underline the solidity of the Nigerian back four.
