4-goal thriller opens U20 AFCON qualifying tourney in Togo

Hosts Togo and Niger today played out a thrilling 2-2 draw to open the WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifying tournament.

Aminou Tchadjobo of Togo was named Player of the Match.

Ghana will battle Benin in a second Group A clash later today.

Tomorrow the Flying Eagles will begin their championship defence against Burkina Faso.

The Group B match will kick off by 4pm Nigerian time at the Municipal Stadium in Lome, Togo.

The pitch is an artificial one.
