Twenty Super Eagles call-ups led by captain William Ekong trained for the first time in Uyo this evening ahead of Friday’s 2025 AFCON showdown against Libya.
Goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye and Amas Obasogie as well as defenders Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Bruno Onyemaechi and Benjamin Tanimu were part of the workout.
Midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Alhassan Yusuf, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru also featured.
The strikers in training were Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Taiwo Awoniyi, Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Moses Simon.
Caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen was in charge of the training session.
Kelechi Iheanacho, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Chidera Ejuke, who is staging a return to the team since 2022, are the players still being awaited.
